Being a parent is one of the most difficult yet rewarding jobs we can ever have in this world. It requires pure love and pure hard work. The bible tells us in Psalm 127:3 that children are a gift and a reward from God. As parents, we must love, teach, discipline and most importantly help them grow in loving God above all else. The bible instructs us, parents to train our children in the way that they should go so that when they grow, they will not depart from it.
I must say that I am not a perfect mother to my children. There were times that I made mistakes in teaching and disciplining them even though I was really trying my best to perform my job as a mother to my children. Well, I still do. I feel tired and exhausted at times especially when there are so many things that are going on in my life but I have to be a wife to my husband and a mother to my children at the same time. In times like this, I just lock myself inside our bathroom for ten minutes and I cry for God’s help while I bath myself with cold water.
For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. – Philippians 4:13
But good news is, even though we are not perfect parents, we have a perfect God who is always available to help us. We are His children and our children is His children ,too. When we become weak, our strength is always found in God, in His Words. That is why I am sharing with you today, 25 great bible verses that can encourage us every time we feel that parenting our children is becoming a bit challenging.
Encouragement for Parents

The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
- Ephesians 6:7-8 Serve wholeheartedly , as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.

- 1 Peter 5:2-3 Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God. 3 Don’t lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example.
